SPRINGING INTO NEW LIFE!

Updated: Apr 6, 2024

As we continue to celebrate spring and the new life that it offers, we are offering BOGO pastured, organically fed chicken eggs. That's $5 for 2/doz! This offer is valid through Saturday April 13th, 2024. (while supplies last)

The ancient art of pysanky decorating eggs, celebrates the egg's symbolism of new life. I shared pictures of these in a previous post. As I think on this, I have found that I need encouragement from time to time. This in a sense is "new life". I can get bogged down and develop a "hum drum" attitude concerning things. Loss of motivation, adopting the feeling of everything requiring such effort, and seeing the bad in everything rather than the good. Have you been there? Or visit from time to time as I do?

One of the things that I believe to be true is we really only have control over two things in life, our perspective and our response. I've found that to be true in so many aspects of my life and by my perspective being crummy, it makes my response crummy and not up to my potential.

As we celebrated Easter and all the new life that spring brings with the animals having babies, the trees growing back their unique solar panels (leaves), the grasses in the area returning to green and channeling that solar energy into themselves and the soil, let this be an encouragement to renew your perspective. When we take the time and meditate on the things we have to be grateful for, we can adopt an attitude of thanksgiving and that my friend is a perspective shift. With that perspective shift, we naturally respond in a way that represents our best more closely than than "hum drum" attitude I previously mentioned.

That's why I felt it, a good idea to offer double the eggs for the same price. As a gentle physical reminder to embrace the new life we are given through creation and to apply it to ourselves through a new perspective. After all, most of us can identify that the season brings forth a list of familiar things to do. There's grass to be cut, trimming that may need done, and the ole familiar spring cleaning. I personally need to start that on the inside of myself so it can manifest to the outside.

Be encouraged!

Encourage others!

No matter what we can't deny, we reap what we sow!

Some of our new meat birds that hatched from our own stock. That's regenerative farming!!!

Our new layers, the 2nd morning after being integrated with our current layers. So excited they are roosting!!! Integrating can take some time but these girls and guys are doing great getting along!
