MAGNITUDE OF MAGNIFICENCE

This is a petal from an iris bloom that had fallen off. Elizabeth (my wife) saw it laying on the ground and showed it to me. Me being me, I tried to take a picture and capture it's magnificence. The intricate design, the symmetry, the diversity. To me, it all bears witness to a very conscious Creator that has arrayed the Earth with beauty if we pay attention.

That's the difficult part right? Slowing down long enough to identify the "magnitude of magnificence" all around us. Creation is magnificent, so much that it testifies of our Creator. "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened." Romans 1:20-21

I hear that our world is world is worse off culturally than it was years ago. Looking at what Paul wrote in Romans around 56-57 A.D., it appears that it hasn't changed much. Stuff has changed, but people have not. More precisely the hearts of mankind has not changed. It requires managing our thoughts to come to terms with having a Creator. If anything maybe we have progressed in the efficiency of ignoring creation and our Creator. It's something that we often want to dismiss because suddenly we become accountable to someone greater than ourselves. I liken it to getting a scratch on my car or getting a scratch on my dad's car that I borrowed, the impact is significantly different.

So my encouragement is to take a moment and just look around at the wonderful provisions that God has given us through creation. It's astonishing and we don't want to be ones that ignore it, but embrace it as constant reminders of His love for all mankind.

Farm news

We have our first set of farm generated meat birds out on pasture. These are Pastured Freedom Rangers that mature enough to lay their own eggs and we hatched approximately 25. We plan on 13 of these being available Father's Day weekend. The remainder will be available about a month later. We still have Pastured Cornish Cross available, you should taste the difference! Check the website for availability. Thanksgiving Day pastured turkeys will be available for pre-order also. Stay tuned!!

Speaking of website, we're toying with the idea of adding an easier platform to access products, blog posts, etc. through an app. I know right?!?! The "smart" phone app is facilitated through "Wix Spaces" and you'll receive a code that takes you to us or you can simply search for Embrace Farm PMA. You'll need to sign in with the same information that you used to sign up on the website. (Everything else carries over) I will be sending out an invite for that this week.

Thank you for your continued support and taking the time to consider my reflections. I don't know where this path leads, but I know that clean food is a burden on the heart's of many and if we can facilitate others Embracing, Respecting, & Stewarding Relationships and Resources, we want to do so. It is truly our pleasure.

Your local farmer,

Gordon
